About Us

Khushi Charitable Society is a registered NGO, founded by Madelien Mishra-Broekman & Anand Mehrotra in 2002.  Khushi has provided education and a better future for several thousand children over its nearly 20-year period. 

This initiative is in cooperation with Sattva Yoga Academy, which was also founded by Anand Mehrotra. Without their help, we would not be the success we are today and we are thankful for their support. 

Our sister organisation Khushi Kids Netherlands is an ANBI-registered foundation in Holland, which Madelien Mishra-Broekman also founded.

Children from deprived backgrounds often cannot afford school fees, school equipment or uniforms. Girls often have to drop out of school due to family pressures and medical bills can become too high to cover. Many of these children won’t get the chance to develop their skills and certainly cannot afford to go to college and university.

That's why we're here to change all that!
