Programs

Our skills development centre (vocational centre) is where we run courses in IT, Accounting, English, Naturopathy and other classes. There is a large Sewing and Crafts Workshop too. It’s here where some of our older female students make dolls, meditation cushions and yoga mat bags. We then sell these either online or to visitors or local yoga schools. It’s also the place where we run our fashion design classes. 

We always either use organic materials or recycle such beautiful items as saris. This way we can help our students create a sustainable life for themselves and their families and our planet too. 

It’s not just the girls that are involved, we also have mothers participating in the stitching program and beautician programs. They make different types of dolls, bags, dresses and items such as scented candles. For each item that is sold, they receive some money directly that can support their family. In this way, Khushi tries to create an additional income for the families. 

Our beautician course is a prominent program of ours. This certified 1-year course covers hairdressing, all areas that help them to find work in salons or spa centres or start their businesses. We also run a naturopathy course.
This centre hosts our numerous subject classes including ICT (information and communication technologies) English language for secondary students and conversational English classes for older students. We also have certified IT courses and accounting courses (TALLY). 

We also run workshops on other subjects depending upon the skills of our international volunteers.
